Tonbridge Canoe Club

NOTE: THE CLUB IS CURRENTLY OPEN FOR OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES ONLY

Tonbridge Canoe Club was formed in 1977 to promote the various disciplines of canoeing from its base on the River Medway opposite Tonbridge Castle. The Club meets every Saturday morning throughout the year, and on various weekday evenings for race training and general Club sessions. Please contact the membership secretary for more detailed information. There are many different aspects to the sport of canoeing, the club has members actively participating in racing (sprint and marathon), touring, open canoeing (canoes rather than kayaks), and recreational paddling (plastic and general purpose). We are affiliated to British Canoeing and have been awarded Sport England Clubmark status.

The indicative river status for the Medway at Tonbridge is currently GREEN - still water or light flow (updated 25/07/2021 at 05:45 using flow/level data from Lucifer GS). Click here for further information/guidance or here for current flow/level data.
